My podcasting professor drilled the idea of a “t-shaped journalist” in my head — having a variety of skills, but honing in on a particular interest. I will always be an investigative writer at heart, but I’ve explored everything from copyediting and data reporting to podcasting and vertical video storytelling.

Engagement journalism snuck up on me and became my second love.

I am now a graduate student in Engagement Journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, with a concentration in Health and Science and a specialization in Audio.
